Salamanca Suites, Hobart

The hotel rooms were beautiful and incredibly self-sufficient for a short or longer stay, but the comfort for sleep was lacking, and the pricing felt overpriced. The service by the courteous staff at reception and onsite was charming and accommodating, with appreciated gestures like late checkout and parking facilities, yet there were issues related to the bed condition and unhelpfulness during check-in. The location was excellent, offering proximity to restaurants and shops on Salamanca, making it convenient to reach popular attractions like Salamanca Markets, the Mona ferry, and SkyBus on foot. Overall, a stay with positives like great room amenities and friendly service but with areas to improve like sleep comfort and dining options.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right near Salamanca Place with loads of restaurants and shops, just meters away from the famous Saturday Salamanca Markets. The rooms, overall quite nice and spacious, also overlook the University construction site, slightly affecting the view. The service was a bit lacking as the housekeeping staff was talking loudly on speakerphone and couldn't provide a street name for the property. However, the hotel offers convenient services like car hire, dry cleaning, laundry, and tours/ticket assistance.

I loved my stay at this hotel in Hobart! The great location, near Salamanca market, and the warm shower after a day of adventuring were highlights, but the tired rooms could use some updates, like adding a dishwasher.
